A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck off the coast of Davao Occidental yesterday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.
State seismologists said there was no tsunami threat due to the temblor.
The quake was felt at Intensity 4, which is classified as moderately strong, in Glan, Sarangani. It was felt at Intensity 1 in General Santos City. Instrumental Intensity 3 was recorded in Malunggon, Sarangani and Instrumental Intensity 2 in Alabel, Sarangani and Koronadal, South Cotabato.
