A 4.6-magnitude earthquake jolted parts of Luzon at around 4:36 p.m., Friday, July 15, said the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology .
Phivolcs traced the epicenter of the earthquake at 7 kilometers southwest of Masinloc, Zambales, and at a depth of 40 km.
Phivolcs said the earthquake was tectonic, which means it was caused by the movement of an active fault near the area.
