A magnitude 4.0 earthquake hit Davao Occidental on Thursday evening, July 13, said the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology .
In the bulletin released by Phivolcs, the tremor was spotted 360 kilometers southeast of Balut Island, Municipality of Sarangani, Davao Occidental.Moreover, the earthquake was tectonic, which means the movement along the fault plane caused it.
