Macleod Trail, CTrain closures and detours over Thanksgiving weekend yyc
The Calgary Municipal Land Corp. said the Macleod Trail pedestrian crossing at 17th Avenue S.E. will be closed as of Thursday evening, and pedestrians will have access to the Victoria Park/Stampede CTrain Station through the 14th Avenue crossing. As of Friday, both crossings will be closed, with pedestrians being detoured to 12th Avenue S.E. or 25th Avenue S.E. to access Stampede Park or events at the Saddledome. The detour will be in place until Monday.
The Macleod Trail closures are due to ongoing construction at the Victoria Park/Stampede LRT station as well as the continued work to expand 17th Avenue. CMLC is currentlyand open Stampede Park’s western entrance. The team has finished much of the enabling work and is turning its focus on constructing a new station.
City Hall to 39th Avenue station will be closed all day Friday, with shuttles running every five minutes to replace the service.
