TACLOBAN CITY – The MacArthur Landing Memorial National Park in Palo, Leyte will be temporarily closed for maintenance and rehabilitation starting June 13 in preparation for the 80th Leyte Gulf Landings Anniversary in October.
"We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to enhance the park's facilities and ensure a memorable experience for everyone." It is home to the renowned bronze statue of Gen. Douglas MacArthur commemorating his historic return to the country on October 20, 1944, during World War II.
