Dean Ortiz, DPWH-Davao spokesperson, explained during a media forum on November 27, 2024, that some portions of the project are facing delays due to Road Right of Way ( RROW ) issues and the relocation of utility poles. The project involves six lanes at Maa Diversion, with DPWH needing to acquire additional lanes for construction.

The flyover structure aims to be completed by the first quarter of 2026, with subsequent work focusing on the lanes beneath the bridge
