MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office in Metro Manila recorded a total of 7.82 billion revenue for 2022, regional director Roque Verzosa III said on Friday. “The office’s revenue collections primarily stem from motor vehicle taxes, driver’s license issuance, and fines and penalties collected from traffic rule violators,” Verzosa said in a statement.Verzosa said most of the total collected revenue came from District Offices catering to motor vehicle and motorcycle renewals, which was at 60.4 percent.
Also, 30.7 percent of the revenue came from law enforcement and traffic adjudication services, public utility vehicle registration centers, LTO-owned motor vehicle inspection centers, among others.
