Land Transportation Office chief and assistant secretary Vigor Mendoza II denied that the agency would terminate the contract on the operation of the Land Transportation Management System .“The Land Transportation Management System, developed by Dermalog, is owned by the government. The LTMS is currently being maintained by Dermalog,” DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista said in the statement.
Mendoza said the LTO is more focused on solving the challenges in the agency to deliver fast and convenient services to its clients across the country. “Our hands are full in terms of further improving our services and in delivering what needs to be delivered to our kababayan. All of these are our priority right now,” said Mendoza. He said these priorities include the full shift to digitalization in all transactions in the agency—from transactions involving driver’s license to motor vehicle registration.
Mendoza said that from only 70-percent utilization rate of the LTMS since he assumed the top LTO post in July 2023, it was expanded to 97-percent utilization rate in the first six months of his leadership.
