MORE drivers committing traffic violations in Central Visayas were apprehended in the first five months of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023.According to Land Transportation Office 7 Director Glen Galario , a total of 12,243 drivers of motor vehicles and motorcycles were apprehended from January to May 2024.For the same period last year, 8,914 drivers were apprehended.
For each succeeding offense, the driver’s license will be suspended for one week from the payment of the fine.According to the LTO Driving Fines and Violations list, operating with defective parts will be fined P5,000; while reckless driving will be fined P2,000 , P3,000 and the suspension of the driver’s license for three months and a fine of P10,000 and the suspension of the driver’s license for six months for the third offense.
