MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office apprehended more than 10,000 motorists for violating traffic laws in Metro Manila in the first three months of 2024.

He said the number of apprehended motorists in the first quarter of the year was 186 percent higher compared to the 3,662 violators accosted in the first quarter of 2023.He said 4,982 motorists were nabbed for violating Republic Act 4136 or the Land Transportation and Traffic Code, including 764 unregistered motor vehicles, and the “no registration, no travel” policy.
