The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is targeting to open the entire 31 rationalized routes for city buses by June 19 to ease the lack of public transportation under the general community quarantine (GCQ).

“We are meeting a target earlier than the start of Phase 2 because we are looking forward to opening all 31 rationalized city bus routes by June 19,” LTFRB Chairman Martin Delgra III said in a virtual Laging Handa briefing on Tuesday.

The LTFRB started to open some city bus routes on June 2 to transport more essential commuters to their workplaces. Currently, the LTFRB chief said 15 city bus routes have been opened since last week such as Route 8 , Route 24 , Route 25 , a portion of Route E , Route 1 , Route 3 , Route 5 , Route 7 , Route 9 , Route 11 , Route 13 , Route 17 , Route 18 , Route 21 , and Route 28 .
