LPA off Mindanao now tropical depression AmboPH

MANILA - A low pressure area spotted off Mindanao has strengthened into a Tropical Depression and is named, Ambo, the first storm to enter the Philippines this year, the state weather bureau said Sunday.

At 11 a.m. Sunday, PAGASA said the LPA was located 635 kilometers east of Davao City, and was forecast to bring scattered light to moderate, with occasional heavy rains, over the regions of CARAGA, Davao, and SOCCSKSARGEN.
