LPA formerly known as AgatonPH dissipates, but scattered rains to affect 6 areas

Swells from Typhoon Malakas will also bring rough seas over the northern and eastern seaboards of Luzon and the eastern seaboards of Visayas and Mindanao in the next 24 hours which may be risky for most seacraft. PAGASA advised mariners of small seacraft to remain in port or take shelter, while those operating larger vessels are advised to take precautionary measures when venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigating in these conditions. as of Wednesday morning, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said.

A total of 580,876 people or 213,327 families were affected by Agaton in 924 barangays in Bicol, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Davao, Soccsksargen, Caraga, and Bangsamoro. Meanwhile, around 34,583 people or 13,788 families are staying in 348 evacuation centers, according to NDRRMC.
