A low pressure area has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility and may escalate into a tropical depression over the next 36 hours, the state-run weather agency said on Friday.Weather specialist Benison Estareja of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration told The Manila Times that the weather disturbance was last spotted past 3 a.m., some 610 kilometers Eest of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.
He added that this will likely move towards Eastern Visayas and the Bicol area.'By Monday, the tropical cyclone may already be in the eastern section of Cagayan Valley and that's where the uncertainty will come as we are closely monitoring if this may recur and move from the region or go towards Batanes,' the weather forecaster said.
