Low pressure enters PAR, affects Bicol, Samar – Pagasa

In a 4 p.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the weather disturbance was last spotted past 3 p.m. some 575 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes.So far, it has a slim chance of intensifying into a tropical depression in the coming days, weather specialist Raymond Ordinario told The Manila Times over a phone conversation.

Its trough is bringing overcast skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar and Samar, Pagasa said.The combined effect of the inter-tropical convergence zone and the trough of LPA is affecting the northern portion of Palawan, including Calamian and Cuyo Islands, Western Visayas and Zamboanga Peninsula which will have similar weather conditions.
