PETALING JAYA: A good alarm goes a long way in protecting motorcycles from being stolen, says a website for motorcycling enthusiasts.
The website johnburrcycles.com said it was quite easy for thieves to tamper with the locks on a motorcycle as no one would be alerted to the meddling of the locks.
“This is what makes thieves happy, finding fool’s gold, encountering a bike that has been locked by a simple chain or a lock.With advancements in technology, the alarms, said the website, now carried innumerable features for the protection of motorcycles. “Other qualities that the best motorcycle alarm should have is its ease of installation and how feasible it is to carry around with the motorbike.
“It may be with the help of a siren, a perimeter sensor or a GPS tracking system, ” said the website.
