SIBU: A jobless man who snatched a woman's handbag got more than he bargained for when his victim shouted, alerting passersby who proceeded to chase him down.
Sibu OCPD, Asst Comm Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said the incident happened at about 9.30am on Christmas Day."All of a sudden, the suspect snatched her handbag and ran," he said."Members of the public heard this and went after the suspect," he added.Stanley said the people who caught the suspect handed him over to policemen who were passing the area.
