Deputy Speaker and Antique lone district Rep. Loren Legarda asked on Thursday, April 16 households to minimize their carbon footprint by setting up food gardens, eating more vegetables, and reducing food waste.
She strongly urged the public to lead a “more environment and climate-friendly” lifestyle to help address global warming and climate change.
“If every household could lead a more environment and climate-friendly lifestyle, we could also help address the climate crisis and pave the way for a greener and more sustainable economy,” she added. She urged every household to plant food gardens and convert spaces into edible landscapes to help increase food supply, while also addressing climate change.
“Reduce or avoid food waste and practice proper solid waste management by composting and recycling,” she added.
