The District Welfare Office is looking for the biological mother or heirs of a toddler who was placed under a Fit and Suitable Person Custody Order (OYLS) through the order of the Kota Belud Children’s Court.
Protector at the Kota Belud District Welfare Office, Norlidayu Peli, said Anis Nurr Zulaikha, aged two years and four months, was left by her biological mother without any documents. “This case was referred to by Haldiah Binti Amit with an address at Kg Kaguraan Kota Belud who is the person responsible for taking care and protection after the child was handed over to her in November 2021.
Currently, Norlidayu said the child is temporarily placed under the care of a OYLS through a Court Order in accordance with the provisions of Subsection 19 of the Children’s Act 2001. She said the case is set for remention on May 18, 2023.
