“Lolo and the Kid” starring “Firefly” star Euwenn Mikaell and veteran actor Joel Torre is making waves on Netflix !As seen in an Instagram post by Sparkle GMA Artist Center, the drama film landed on Netflix ’s Top 10 movies list in 38 countries, which included Argentina, Bahamas, Portugal, Nigeria, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the United Arab Emirates, among others.The movie also ranked No. 1 in Peru and maintained its top spot on Netflix Philippines.“Lolo and the Kid” premiered on Netflix on August 7.
Directed by Benedict Mique, "Lolo and the Kid" follows the story of a hustler and a child he took under his wing. Together, the pair build a strong bond and con the wealthy, but a life-changing opportunity might just change their relationship.Aside from Euwenn and Joel, other members of the cast include Iza Calzado, Meryll Soriano, Joem Bascon, Alfred Vargas, Markki Stroem, Juan Karlos Labajo, and more.
