TNT will attempt to move on the verge of its first PBA title in six years as it shoots for a commanding 3-0 lead in the Philippine Cup finals against Magnolia on Sunday, October 24.
It has been a dominant finals stint for the Tropang Giga so far after winning the first two games by an average of 15 points, with star rookie Mikey Williams taking the Hotshots to school. Williams is norming 24.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.5 steals as TNT solidified its bid of capturing the all-Filipino championship it fell short of winning last season.
Magnolia, though, has shown that it will not go down without a fight after nearly coming back from a 21-point deficit in Game 2. Battered by 18 points in Game 1, the Hotshots got to within 4 points in the fourth quarter of Game 2 before Williams knocked down key buckets late to propel the Tropang Giga to a 2-0 finals lead.
