The Bacolod-based quartet releases a new song about the growing pains of young love.
Project Orange, a 4-piece indie/dream pop band based in Bacolod City, released a new track,"Play, Pretend" on September 16.
The song's is striking in its simplicity, with a guitar-led pop arrangement highlighting vocalist Moose Mapa's vocals. "With its wandering verses, a bridge that makes you feel like you’re at a wit’s end, and a chorus that hits you with a sanguine yet somber tune it perfectly captures an imaginative love in a warped reality," the band said in on their website.
On their website, they also shared that the song was produced spontaneously, and was meant to be a surprise single for their listeners. "Play, Pretend" is Project Orange's third single, following their latest release"Sputnik Sweetheart" and their debut single"Ctrl + Esc," which counts over 320,000 streams on Spotify as of this writing.
