ICYMI: Various international agencies and foreign governments turned over or committed to provide humanitarian assistance for those affected by Typhoon Odette. | via onenewsph

€2.83 million worth of humanitarian assistance for typhoon-affected areas as of Dec. 23. It will provide food, drinking water, shelter and other urgently needed household items to typhoon survivors.

Below is the breakdown of the EU and its member states’ aid for victims of Typhoon Odette, and its intended allocation for typhoon response: Finland: €100,000 or P5.6 million and its partner RC societies)Netherlands: €225,000 or P12.7 millionAdditional aid are also expected to be provided by Germany and Sweden.

She said the assistance will include funding for the PRC and UNFPA to distribute relief supplies; UN Food and Agriculture Organization, WFP and IOM to provide critical transportation and communications support; Australian non-government organizations currently operating int he Philippines to deliver lifesaving assistance; and local non-government organizations to respond to needs of particularly vulnerable groups.
