Local government units have until April 26 to submit lists of tricycle drivers who are eligible for fuel subsidies.
In a statement, Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año said the lists will be the basis of the Department of Transportation and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board for granting assistance.
"Sana po ay paspasan po natin ang pag-aasikaso ng listahang ito para kahit papaano ay maibsan ang pasanin ng ating mga drayber," he said on Friday. Last month, the LTFRB began distributing a P6,500 fuel subsidy to public utility vehicle drivers and operators who have been affected by a series of fuel price increases.
