I never was and never will be a progressive; the union’s values were not my own. Fortunately I was never forced to go on strike. If I had been, like those currently forced to strike who don’t want to strike , I would be doing something against my conscience, and losing pay while I did it. It doesn’t get much more insidious than that.
Think of it, $1.2 billion! That’s $100 million every month. And what does the CBC do with that money? Why it pays huge bonuses to its staff — $99 million since 2015.
