‘Less employers remiss in sending SSS contributions’

The Social Security System on Thursday said unremitted members’ contributions from delinquent employers went down by 40 percent in 2023.

Macasaet said they were encouraged by a Supreme Court decision upholding the agency’s right to take legal action against employers for being remiss in settling their contribution delinquencies.In 2022, the Commission on Audit flagged the SSS for its failure to collect over P92 billion from half a million delinquent employers.
