Lea Salonga is the latest Filipino celebrity to have her own wax figure at Madame Tussauds !The theater icon’s figure will be produced and displayed at Madame Tussauds Singapore.In a video posted on the Madame Tussauds official Instagram account, Lea could be seen meeting the team and getting her measurements done for the figure.“It’s an absolute honor and a privilege. It’s fantastic,” she said.To her supporters, she said, “Hi everybody.
She was the first Filipino to win a Tony and Laurence Olivier Award for her role in the production.Lea starred in “Stephen Sondheim's Old Friends” in the West End. In 2023, she made her Broadway comeback in the musical “Here Lies Love” as Aurora Aquino, former senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino’s mother.Aside from her work in theater, Lea is also famous for being the singing voice of Disney Princesses Jasmine from “Aladdin” and Mulan.
