Setiausaha Agung GRS, Masidi Manjun berkata, Majlis Tertinggi GRS sebulat suara meluluskan permohonan kedua-dua parti itu pada mesyuarat petang tadi.Lima parti komponen sedia ada GRS sebelum ini ialah Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah , Parti Bersatu Sabah , Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku , Pertubuhan Kebangsaan Sabah Bersatu dan Parti Maju Sabah .
Ia kemudian didaftarkan secara rasmi sebagai sebuah entiti politik pada Mac tahun lalu yang menerima keanggotaan parti politik atau secara individu untuk menyertainya.
