LDP, Harapan Rakyat join Gabungan Rakyat Sabah FMTNews

PETALING JAYA: The Liberal Democratic Party and Parti Harapan Rakyat Sabah are now component parties of the ruling Gabungan Rakyat Sabah coalition.

GRS secretary-general Masidi Manjun said its Supreme Council unanimously approved the applications from both parties to join the coalition in a meeting this afternoon. “GRS now has seven members – Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah , Parti Bersatu Sabah , Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku , United Sabah National Organisation , Sabah Progressive Party , LDP and Harapan Rakyat,” he said in a statement.Meanwhile, the applications of Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat and Parti Cinta Sabah are still pending.

In February, GRS chairman Hajiji Noor assumed control over Gagasan Rakyat as its president two months after he led a group of supporters out of Sabah Bersatu.
