Lazada, a leading Southeast Asian e-commerce platform, unveiled Tuesday its annual environment, social and governance impact report for the financial year 2024, titled “Accelerating Innovation, Anchoring Resilience.”
“Our third ESG Impact Report reflects our unwavering dedication to creating a positive impact on the environment and all stakeholders within the eCommerce ecosystem – our employees, buyers, sellers, and the communities we serve,” said Lazada Group chief executive James Dong. Lazada’s ESG impact report provides detailed information about its ESG approach and performance across its operations in six countries—Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, and, of its subsidiary, RedMart in Singapore from April 2023 to March 2024.
A highlight this year is the introduction of an internal carbon data collection platform, designed to track and monitor the Group’s carbon emissions. The platform employs an enhanced activity-based carbon accounting methodology, which is continuously refined to align with real-world conditions. This leads to more accurate data for effective emissions management. Othel V. Campos
