Larry Loteyro, representing ActionLabs, won the 8th Samahang Plaridel Golf of the Association of Philippine Journalists (APJ) with a score of 78 at the Villamor Air Base Club. The event was sponsored by PAGCOR, PCSO, San Miguel Corporation, Philippine Sports Commission, and JD Legaspi Construction.

Quiroz also awarded the trophies and prizes to the winners, assisted by Samahang Plaridel vice president Andy Sevilla. The other winners in the event also supported by House Speaker Martin Romualdez, Rizal Park Hotel, Construction Workers Solidarity Partylist, and Philippine Airlines are Jojo Castro as Class A champion with a gross score of 78 and Christian Adrenida as Class A runner-up with 82; Emmanuel Delima as Class B champion with 71 and Don Lerit as Class B runner±up with 91; and Mark Reyes as Class C champion with 101 and Reuben Terrado as Class C runner—up with 100 .
