Landco Pacific Corporation, part of the MVP Group, has taken over the management of The Manor, The Forest Lodge, and the CAP-John Hay Trade and Cultural Center. This move follows the Supreme Court's decision on Camp John Hay's recovery and aims to ensure smooth business operations during the transition to a new long-term partner.
Landco Pacific Corporation, part of the MVP Group, has assumed interim management of The Manor, The Forest Lodge, and the CAP-John Hay Trade and Cultural Center following the Supreme Court’s final decision on the recovery of Camp John Hay . The Bases Conversion and Development Authority ( BCDA ) tapped Landco Pacific to oversee operations for one to two years as it transitions the properties to a new private partner for long-term lease and management.
The move aims to ensure minimal disruption in hotel services and business continuity. Metro Pacific Investments Corporation chairperson Manuel V. Pangilinan expressed optimism about the transition. “We are happy to assist the BCDA in this interim transition. Camp John Hay must realize its potential as a special economic zone. This is a significant first step,” he said. He also assured stakeholders of the group’s commitment to preserving the properties’ legacy. “We have assembled a highly capable team to make sure that these legacy properties are protected and enhanced as cornerstones of Baguio history and tourism. Staff and guests need not worry,” he added. BCDA president and CEO Joshua Bingcang welcomed the MVP Group’s involvement. “Our priority is the continuity of business operations and the welfare of employees at Camp John Hay,” he said
