MANILA, Philippines — Lucille Almonte finished her business with the Adamson University and is ready to take her chances in the Premier Volleyball League as she joins the Rookie Draft.During her stay with the Lady Falcon s, Almonte was exposed to different playing position, and even played as libero under coach Lerma Giron.With her playing years halted by the pandemic, the 23-year-old opposite hitter took her coaches advise to take her talents to pro.
Eyeing to prove herself in the big league, Almonte said that she wants to go all out.'My mindset is to work hard since the intensity this time is different. I have to really work hard and sacrifice.'Having this opportunity at the combine draft, she shared have grateful she is to join in the first-ever PVL draft.'Personally, this boosts our confidence especially for me and the other players. This is one of the biggest volleyball league.
