Speaker Martin Romualdez welcomed Manila Mayor Maria Sheilah Honrado Lacuna-Pangan and former Marikina Rep. Romero Federico Quimbo to the Lakas-CMD, the current biggest political party in Congress and in the country.
“We are honored to welcome Mayor Honey Lacuna and former Marikina Congressman Miro Quimbo into the Lakas-CMD family,” said Romualdez. Lacuna became the first female Mayor of Manila after winning the 2022 mayoralty race. She started her political career as a member of the City Council in 2004 and was elected as Vice Mayor in 2016.
