Lack of bus drivers as some think job has no future, says transport group FMTNews
Transport minister Loke Siew Fook said earlier that the express bus service had been facing a shortage of drivers since the pandemic.
In a statement, he said this was among the challenges CILT Malaysia had identified after engaging stakeholders in the transport industry recently. To draw Malaysians to pursue a career in this area, he said the institute had developed a programme to chart a clear career path for bus drivers, allowing them to be adequately trained while being able to plan their future better.
