"As it is currently, we are in a very good position here in Bundaberg to retain the seat for the Australian Labor Party," Mr Smith said." we all have memories of 2020, so let's just wait till every single vote is in." "When you look at the results in the rest of Queensland, let alone in the rest of regional Queensland, the fact that we're even talking about Tom Smith being close means that Tom Smith in Labour circles should be iconic status," Mr Mickel said.
"It's likely that we will retain the seat many, many people across all ages and genders did not want the risk of a Katter Australia Party being successful, and putting in a private member's bill around abortion," he said.
