Rather than viewing Australian history in full context, Labor's 'truth-telling' commission will focus only on what has gone wrong in our history, presenting a distorted and misleading picture of our country, Credlin argues.

Credlin used the opening editorial of her show on Wednesday night to highlight what she sees as an increasingly radical agenda from the Albanese government.

Credlin argued that while the government always said it was committed to implementing the Uluru statement from the Heart “in full,” it was only now becoming clear exactly what that meant. She said that while there has been significant focus on the Voice, there had been little scrutiny on the other aspects of the Uluru statement – the Treaty with Indigenous people, and the so-called Makarrata commission.

Of particular concern, Credlin argued, is the Makarrata commission, a body charged with running a “truth-telling” process to deal with past trauma and negotiate a treaty. According to reporting from the Australian Financial Review, Labor is set to begin preparations for this within weeks.

‘Gloss is wearing off’ the Labor government as the broken promises ‘pile up’‘Gloss is wearing off’ the Labor government as the broken promises ‘pile up’Sky News host Cory Bernardi says the “gloss” is wearing off the Albanese government as the broken promises pile up. “Labor has made things worse as they cover everything with their ideological web,” he said. Mr Bernardi said it’s becoming increasingly obvious that Labor “doesn’t really care” about how substantive policy issues impact Australians' lives. “Instead, they only seem to care about pushing their ideological framework into almost every aspect of our lives,” he said. “They'll spin that lack of concern with soothing words about consulting and sustainability and so on.” Mr Bernardi said the “honeymoon is well and truly over” for the Labor government, but it’s “unfortunate” that Australians are left with the “hangover from their self-congratulations”.
