Actress Kylie Padilla celebrates the Chinese New Year with a captivating photoshoot inspired by Medusa, embracing the symbolism of transformation and rebirth.
The Year of the Snake has arrived, and Kylie Padilla is embracing the symbolism with a striking photoshoot. Ahead of the Chinese New Year, the Sparkle actress shared captivating images from a Medusa -themed shoot. She donned a maroon dress designed by Yoriko Sundiam, adorned with a red headscarf featuring intricate, curved ridges. Adding an element of mystique, she held a gold-plated skull in her hands.
In a caption accompanying the photos, Padilla wrote, 'Year of the Snakes,' Be not afraid of the snakes for they claim not that they are honest, be afraid of liars of sweet sounding songs. That lure you into their traps and rejoice when you’ve fallen. The snake is a friend in the rebirth of my soul, shedding old skin slowly as I crawl from the depths of my sorrows into the hope of tomorrow.' She further elaborated, 'Do not be afraid of the snake, do not believe in what others say about them. After all, they said Medusa was evil and rotten from within, but in truth Medusa was the victim of lust, Athena should have cursed he Poseidon, who committed the sin and not Medusa who lost her innocence.'This dramatic photoshoot comes on the heels of Padilla's recent 32nd birthday celebrations, which she marked with sultry photos taken in a bathtub. She sported a dress crafted from snake-print fabric, continuing the theme of transformation and rebirth. Padilla is currently enjoying success in her acting career. She was part of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2025 Best Picture, “Green Bones,” showcasing her talent and versatility. The actress, who shares two sons, Alas and Axl, with her ex-husband Aljur Abrenica, remains a prominent figure in the Philippine entertainment industry
