ASIA Society Philippines recently launched the 3rd edition of “ Kulinarya : A Guidebook to Philippine Cuisine” at the Rizal Room, Manila House, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.Headlining the program were Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco and
Chairman Doris Magsaysay-Ho. Magsaysay-Ho welcomed the attendees to the relaunch before Frasco gave the keynote speech.Kulinarya participating chefs Glenda Barretto, Conrad Calalang, Myrna Segismundo, Jessie Sincioco, and Claude Tayag spoke about their experiences and insights on the process of putting the Kulinarya project together.
also paid tribute to the late Chef Margarita Forés, who also contributed her invaluable time and expertise toward the cookbook.Forés’ sisters, Veana and Bledes, were present to receive a special memento from .Since its initial launch in 2008, Kulinarya has been given major accolades at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards and the Gintong Aklat Awards.It figures prominently in kitchens and culinary schools throughout the Philippines. The third edition of Kulinarya was made possible through the support of the Department of Tourism, NutriAsia, Century Pacific Food Inc., and Anvil Publishing.The Manila Times is a media partner of the Kulinarya relaunch.
