Kris Aquino penned a belated but emotional and sweet birthday message to her son Bimby Aquino Yap, who celebrated his 16th birthday last April 19. ManilaBulletin

"You are the reason I can’t give up, and I continue fighting what at times feels like a losing battle. But if there’s one thing I’m proud of, since the day you were born- 5 weeks early, weighing barely 4 pounds, I’ve kept my word, never breaking any promises I made to you," wrote Kris in her post on Instagram on April 22."If they only knew, all that we’ve survived together… I waited a few days before posting my 16th birthday greeting for my 6’1 baby.

"On that cruel night, in late September 2018, we had a preview of the 1st 2 autoimmune conditions I had, and we were so afraid of the possible 3rd- we were crying as we embraced. I’ll NEVER forget forcing myself to reassure the 11-year-old you that, like your Lola: i’ll endure anything and everything, to make sure you had me for as long as you needed me.

Lawmakers to DoTr: Step up airport securityLawmakers to DoTr: Step up airport securityDAVAO CITY First District Rep. Paolo Duterte and Benguet Rep. Eric Yap on Friday urged the Department of Transportation (DoTr) to check the status of and upgrade security facilities in the country's airports in order to reduce congestion in passenger terminals and heighten measures to ensure public safety. In a resolution, the two lawmakers said the DoTr should include in its proposed budget for 2024 the expenditures needed to improve these facilities given the ever-increasing number of travelers going in and out of the country.Duterte and Yap pointed out that the lessening of health and safety regulations for travel has resulted in a significant increase in airline passenger growth, particularly during the holiday seasons. This, in turn, has caused an imbalance between demand and the number of security facilities and equipment available in the country's airports, 'resulting in missed flights, inter-terminal flight transfers and jam-packed check-in counters.''The consistent congestion in these airports necessitates an increase and advancement in airport security facilities and equipment, particularly full body scanners and baggage scanners, in order to serve a larger number of people as well as ensure public safety in the exercise of every citizen's right to travel,' Duterte said.In calling on the Transportation department to address airport congestion and delays, he and Yap said it is 'part of the duties and functions of the House of Representatives to revisit and scrutinize existing laws, regulations and circumstances that affect the country's passengers as well as public order and safety.'In order to avoid delays and long lines, especially during peak seasons, airlines have been advising passengers to check in online or be at the airport as early as 5 to 6 hours before their flights. This advice stems from the usual congestion at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and other airports across the Philippines.According to reports citing officials of the Man
