When she arrived in the US in 2022, Kris "received sad news that my 3 autoimmune conditions had become 4 namely: chronic spontaneous urticaria, autoimmune thyroiditis, and Churg Strauss or what’s now been renamed EGPA- a rare and life threatening form of vasculitis." And though she started taking "a new biological injectable," the number of allergens in her blood remained high.
According to Kris, her lead doctor in UCLA had a hard time convincing her to take methotrexate. "But when I saw my inflammatory numbers were high and so was my ANA," she "bit the bullet" and started her "baby dose" of the medicine, which they plan on increasing as the weeks go by.
