PETALING JAYA: The King and Malaysian leaders have extended their Easter greetings to those who celebrate it.
Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah extended their wishes for a joyful and harmonious Easter celebration.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim also extended his greetings along with a wish for non-Christian Malaysians to take the opportunity to wish their fellow Malaysians a happy celebration. “Hopefully, this harmony can be maintained and this unity can be strengthened among the people,” he said in a Facebook post.
“May the sacrificial love of Good Friday and the hope of Easter fill our hearts and overflow to those around us. Let us live out the true meaning of Easter - compassion and love - and experience the true peace that Easter brings. Here’s wishing all of you a very blessed Good Friday and Easter!” he added.
