Christians attended the Good Friday Service at all churches to mark the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ.
It is a public holiday in Sabah that is marked by reflection and mourning. This is followed by Easter Sunday, which celebrates the resurrection of Jesus.At the All Saints Cathedral, the Good Friday sermon was delivered by Dean Musa Ambai, who preached about forgiveness and sacrifice. There was also a heartfelt choir performance by the Sunday School children.
The solemn observance included the Way of the Cross, recital of Jesus Christ’s passion and death. Good Friday is traditionally observed by Roman Catholics with fasting, abstinence, penance, prayer, and alms giving.Other traditional Good Friday observances include praying the Acts of Reparation, the Veneration of the Cross, meditation on the Seven Last Words, the praying of the Way of the Cross, and the presentation of the passion play.
