Fnatic Onic Philippines stamped its class and became the first Philippine representatives to M6 World Championship after taking down Falcons APBren, 3-1 in the upper bracket finals of the MPL Season 14 playoffs at the Green Sun Hotel on Friday, Oct. 18.
Showing no signs of slowing down after topping the regular season and sweeping Aurora in the upper bracket semis, the Sonics grounded the Bees in the first two games before bouncing back from a Game 3 hiccup to also advance to the grand finals of the tournament for the first time after six seasons.
King “K1NGKONG” Perez displayed the exact same form that won him the regular season Most Valuable Player plum, presiding over the hot start for FNOP. He exploded for 6-1-5 and 5-1-3 KDAs on the Suyou and Nolan picks in the 12-4 and 13-10 conquests in Games 1 and 2.
