One other day that Filipinos also do not easily remember as a day for Rizal is his birth date, June 19.
He must have had a premonition that English would become an important language — probably like Apolinario Mabini, too. Rizal used the language in communication during his trip to Hong Kong and other correspondences to his friends. And he was not the only one in his family who learned it; his sisters Narcisa and Trinidad did, too.
