JOSE Ma. Sison, the founder of the Communist Party of the Philippines , has passed away, his party said on Saturday.It said that Sison, 83, died at about 8:40 p.m. on Friday after being confined at a hospital in The Netherlands for two weeks.The initial information was based on the email account of CPP chief information officer Marco Balbuena.
He said the 'Filipino proletariat and toiling people grieve the death of their teacher and guiding light'.Balbuena added that the entire CPP will give the highest possible tribute to its founding chairman, 'great Marxist-Leninist-Maoist thinker, patriot, internationalist and revolutionary leader'.The Armed Forces of the Philippines has yet to issue a statement.
