A few days after finishing her first 10K race during Ayala Land Estates’ The Green Run 2024, actress Jodi Sta. Maria took to social media to share her reflections on the experience. The actress said she began to run last year in preparation for an acting role.
Amid her training, she thought of joining a race but was skeptical because she thought she couldn’t do it. After mustering up the courage, she eventually signed up for one. “I only told a handful of people kasi nahihiya ako. I thought sasabihin ko nalang sa iba pag tapos na. Then I got injured,” she said. Following that experience, Sta. Maria shared that crossing the finish line of her first 10K race made her emotional as it was a journey filled with a lot of trials and doubts. “As I approached the finish line I was flooded with relief and an overwhelming sense of gratitude,” she said. The actress took the time to thank her family and friends for supporting her as well as her coaches and doctors from the Center for Musculoskeletal Science and Wellness and sports conditioning facility PACE Prehab & Recovery.
