Mitsubishi has been exploring its more adventurous side lately. The Japanese automaker is back in rallying with the all-new Triton, and it has been exhibiting more ourdoor-themed models.
But Mitsubishi's latest concept aims to take that to the next level. It has a flat nose with a windshield the all the way to the van's fascia. Its T-shaped headlights then stick out prominently at each corner.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the D:X Concept uses an electrified drive system. In this case, it's a plug-in hybrid similar to the latest Outlander PHEV. However, Mitsubishi's previous financial report revealed an all-new MPV in the pipeline. The model wasn’t shown in the product rollout timeline, but it’s possible that it could reach production by 2024 or 2025. If so, it will be just in time for the release of the next-generation Montero Sport/Pajero Sport.
