Mitsubishi has been exploring its more adventurous side lately. The Japanese automaker is back in rallying with the all-new Triton, and it has been exhibiting more ourdoor-themed models.

But Mitsubishi's latest concept aims to take that to the next level. Dubbed the D:X Concept, it's a four-wheel drive MPV/minivan.This Range Rover for sale had a very royal first owner As futuristic as it looks, there's also a bit of a throwback to the original Delicas/L300s from decades past. It has a flat nose with a windshield the all the way to the van's fascia. Its T-shaped headlights then stick out prominently at each corner.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the D:X Concept uses an electrified drive system. In this case, it's a plug-in hybrid similar to the latest Outlander PHEV. Of course, it also has Mitsubishi's latest all-wheel drive technologies, so there's Super-All Wheel Control, Active Yaw Control, and more. So, will the Mitsubishi D:X be the next Delica? In a nutshell, yes, but don't take our word for it.

However, Mitsubishi's previous financial report revealed an all-new MPV in the pipeline. The model wasn’t shown in the product rollout timeline, but it’s possible that it could reach production by 2024 or 2025. If so, it will be just in time for the release of the next-generation Montero Sport/Pajero Sport.
