We’ve been told to “keep expectations high” for this model
The Japan Mobility Show is underway, and there’s been a bunch of interesting launches so far. Honda, for its part, is continuing its theme of throwbacks—see the Motocompacto if you haven’t yet—with the revival of a familiar nameplate: the Prelude.
As many of you may be familiar, the Prelude is a two-door coupe that began production in the late ’70s. It spanned five generations before Honda discontinued it in 2001. Now, it’s officially back as this rather sleek-looking sports car concept.JMS 2023: Do you think the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross PHEV would suit PH?Honda merely gave us a preview, so we don’t have a lot of details to go by just yet. Will it be electric? Probably.
Up front, the Prelude has a snazzy pair of headlights paired with a lightbar that accentuates the car’s nose. The front clip somewhat looks similar to that of the all-new Toyota Prius. Diffusers on the front bumper and blacked-out alloy wheels can be found underneath, with small aero bits at the rear. The overall shape just screams sports car, and the swooping silhouette actually reminds us of the Nissan Z.
No word yet on when exactly this will hit production, or if it will ever see the light of day at all. But Honda has told us to “keep expectations high” for this upcoming model, so that’s exactly what we’ll be doing.PHOTO BY TopGear.com.ph See Also Read Next JMS 2023: Do you think the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross PHEV would suit PH?
