CELEBRATING its 9th anniversary in the business, Rugged Rigs 4x4 Performance and its subsidiary, The Jimny Hub, held the inaugural Streetshow Garage event on Aug. 31, 2024, at the Metrotent in Ortigas.
Co-presented by Suzuki Philippines Inc. , Motul, Aegis Detailing, and Apio Japan Inc., the one-day event brought together overlanding enthusiasts with fully equipped rigs ready for the outdoors. The Jimny community came in full support, with most of the event floor showcasing awe-inspiring modified units, while SPH provided test-drive vehicles for potential buyers interested in joining the community.
'An exciting highlight of the event was the announcement of the return of Jimnyfest — the country's biggest gathering of Jimnys in their natural environment, the outdoors. Last held in 2023 in Zambales, the next Jimnyfest is slated for February 2025 in Nueva Ecija and will feature camping, trailing and other fun activities for participants expected from all over the Philippines. The event will be held in cooperation with the provincial tourism office of Nueva Ecija.
